Confidence: Part 10 – Tenacity

I know we all want to be the guy who bought the land and just tripped over the perfect rock. Well, that does happen, but almost never. Dumb old blind luck does play a part in life, albeit a tiny one. The more tenacious you are, the more luck you will have.

You are in control of only one thing in life – yourself. If you give up on you, the game is over. One of my life teachers tells us to never give up before the miracle. In fact, if you look at most successful people, they will all say the same thing – never give up.

For some, success takes longer. Did you know that Colonel Sanders shopped his original KFC recipe to over 1000 investors till he got backing? Thomas Edison also found over 1000 ways to “not” invent the lightbulb.

I personally have found many ways to strike out with women. Sometimes flaming out magnificently with my hair on fire. It was not pretty. But as I lay there in a steaming pile of my own personal megaflop, I would say to myself, “So, self, what have we learned from this colossal date-pocalypse?!?” And then, I say, “next!”

As I ran through all the moves I made and things I said, I would find something to improve upon, so that next time, I would not make the same mistakes. I might berate myself at first and feel more than a little depressed at not being perfect all the time.

But I would get out of that asap! That mindset does you no good. Even at the low points I knew I would never give up. Dwelling on failure only brings more failure. Acknowledging a mistake is fine, but don’t beat yourself up about it.

There will be plenty of setbacks on your road to dating and/or relationship success. Use those less than awesome moments to improve your game. This is what winners do.

You are winning. You are learning. Never stop honing your skills and improving on what you are. Your hard work will pay off incredible dividends, in knowledge and a higher caliber of women.

As you build on each triumph, your confidence will expand accordingly and will radiate outward. You will be very attractive to women who will sense that you are indeed tenacious in your drive to success; and that is one potent aphrodisiac, my friend. Next!
