3 Essential Alpha Male Traits

The definition of what makes a true man – the Alpha Male – has grown fuzzy over the past few decades. For some reason, traits that are considered manly have become confused with being a jerk.

I think it’s because of this that “manliness” has become taboo.

But I’m here to tell you that women want a manly man. They want a take-charge leader who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Women repeatedly tell me that this is the biggest turn on.

What happens is that the world is constantly telling us men we aren’t big enough, wealthy enough or handsome enough.

Sure, it helps to be born with some of those things, but here’s a little secret – that’s not really what women want. They are actually biologically programmed to be attracted to alpha male traits over good looks.

Let’s take a look at three of those traits:

ALPHA MALE TRAIT 1) Take Charge Attitude

Women naturally love men who are leaders. Taking charge and making decisions is one way to really attract women. This doesn’t mean disregarding what others want, but it’s about knowing what you want and making a choice or decision, even if it ends up being the wrong one.

What I’ve found is that the thing women dislike most in a man is acting wishy-washy or not being able to make a decision. That drives women crazy – in a bad way. So, take the initiative and be decisive. This automatically ups your masculinity factor.

ALPHA MALE TRAIT 2) Being Confident

Being confident is one of the most important alpha male traits. It shows you like yourself and respect yourself and it makes you more attractive to women. In addition, it makes others respect you, as well.

When you are confident and certain – certain about your decisions and being worthy of love an attention – you are able to be more assertive, which is important to be an alpha male.

ALPHA MALE TRAIT 3) Be An Emotional Rock

Women don’t want a guy who is a big crybaby and too caught up in all the emotions HE is feeling. Believe me, women are concentrating enough on their emotions and need the man to be in control of his emotions.

I admit, it’s a fine balance, you want to be in touch with your emotions and definitely comfortable with all of them, but you also don’t want to be an emotional basket case who lets his emotions control his every thought, word, and deed.

So, don’t deny your feelings, but don’t let them control you either.

BONUS ALPHA MALE EXERCISE: Be BALLSY.

Take a chance. Break free of always being politically correct or always the “nice guy” and adopt a few bad boy traits. Quit caring what everyone else thinks and quit seeking their approval.

As long as you aren’t hurting someone else, what’s the harm? For instance, walk around in a tee shirt that says “Got Dick” on the front of it.

Do something that is outside your normal “nice guy” persona.
